Not a lot happened this week on site construction-wise. We had visits from Ready Install‘s excavation, plumber, and electrician contractors. These were to determine what was needed to build and to coordinate activities. We did get a water line delivered and insulation for the foundation to protect against frost. Definitely was hoping for more progress, but hopefully next week will be better.

Saturday was the highlight of the week – we went to Spotlight Design Center on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester and worked with Leanne Richard at Spotlight Design Center to finalize the design on the mini-kitchen that will be on the second floor. She was a true professional and extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Leanne did a nice job with her CAD design for the kitchenette. She was very thorough.

After this, it was off to Home Depot to look at some options for flooring and appliances.
I know Ready Installs is chomping at the bit, but again, I hope to see faster progress this week at the site.
Those Aztec builders and landscapers seem to be more efficient.

Well, they are not building 1:1, and I’m pretty sure the Town bylaws look disparagingly on human sacrifice! 😁

I don’t like to be critical but the beer fridge looks a little on the small side to me! 😉

Valid point sir. It’s a 24”, 10.1 cubic foot refrigerator though the freezer takes up some of that space. We may need a pilot test on its storage and use efficacy, at least in terms of 🍺

Yeah, I’m trying to do a weekly one on the garage until it’s done, and then there’s the question of the small amount of terrain I built in July 😆 that I’m blogging about too. I still have a golf one to do too, maybe they are Magic Buses?

Remember to grab any off cuts of the foam Mark for making scenery with, as you say a slow week progress wise, but a lot of essential planning seems to have taken place.

Good idea Dave and one sure to give my wife yet another reason to (falsely for sure) accuse me of hoarding!

We’ve had a ton of work done on our place since moving to Vermont, and I’ve found that letting my girlfriend have the final say saves a lot of aggro LOL!

Looking good there Mark. Make sure you grab any off cuts of the insulation foam for terrain projects.
Cheers,
Pete.

Have you seen his terrain projects Pete! There probably isn’t enough foam in the photo for something Mark would make! 😁

That looks a pretty tidy galley to me! 🙂 I suppose you have to have slow weeks to make the fast weeks look fast (that seemed to make more sense in my head before I wrote it down)!

Yeah I get your drift there John. Hadn’t considered calling it a galley before (being an Army guy and not a Navy guy), but now that’s what I’m calling it! Perfect!

If it was one man that I would trust to build a garage, it would be you Mark! Legendary organisational genius as you are!!!!

Awww man – too much Mike! I’m just tracking it all and writing the checks. It’s all designed so now it’s about choices like colors, etc so that’s not going to be my call.

Your “new gaming room” is going to have all the mod-cons…hehe
…it’s looking great, and the slow progress will all come crashing together some weeks, and you will wonder how they got so much done.
